LANGUAGECERT International ESOL is an internationally recognized English language qualification assessing the four core skills: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking
The qualification is aligned with the CEFR and is available at different proficiency levels.The test is divided into two modules
š 30 minutes
The Listening test assesses your ability to understand conversations, discussions, announcements and spoken information
For example, at B2 level, the Listening test takes approximately 30 minutes and contains four parts
š 2 hours 10 minutes
The Reading test assesses your ability to understand written information, ideas, opinions and the organization of texts
At B2 level, the Reading section includes different types of texts such as articles, reviews, proposals, emails and other continuous texts
š 2 hours 40 minutes
The Writing section assesses your ability to communicate ideas clearly and appropriately in written English
The tasks specify the intended reader and the points that should be addressed
š 13 minutes
The Speaking exam is conducted with an interlocutor, either face-to-face or online
The Written exam has a 50% pass mark (75/150), while the Speaking exam has a 50% pass mark (25/50). Candidates receive High Pass, Pass or Fail grades.
